ABOUT THE CAUSE
VeloSano means "swift cure" in Latin and that's the point. Thousands of people each year raise vital research funds in their communities, all because they realize a cure for cancer is needed now. VeloSano funnels those millions of dollars raised each year into projects that will build upon and transition recent advancements in cancer research into new diagnostics and therapeutics with a high likelihood of leading to successful, future grant funding.
Thus far, VeloSano has raised over $24 million, which has supported 170 cancer research projects. Those projects often go on to earn research grants from the National Institutes of Health and elsewhere. The total return from additional external funding now surpasses $22 million, making the total impact of VeloSano more than $46 million.
